Building Strengthening and Performance Analysis

Our building strengthening service is a comprehensive process carried out with scientific calculations and engineering solutions to increase your building's resistance to earthquakes and static loads. We maximize the safety of life and property by strengthening your earthquake-prone, damaged or deteriorated structures in accordance with current earthquake regulations.

We provide reliable building strengthening services in Didim, Bodrum and Kuşadası with our experienced engineering team.

Building Survey & Damage Detection

Your building's current condition, structural system elements and damage status are examined in detail. Concrete strength, reinforcement condition and material quality are determined.

Earthquake Performance Analysis

The building's performance against earthquake loads is calculated according to current earthquake regulations. Structural deficiencies are identified and a strengthening strategy is developed.

Strengthening Project Preparation

A strengthening project is prepared based on static calculations and performance analysis. Appropriate methods such as shear walls, jacketing, FRP, steel profiles are determined.

Permits & Administrative Procedures

Municipal approvals, building permits and all legal processes are professionally managed. Required permits and approvals are completed without deficiency.

Application & Site Supervision

Strengthening works are carried out in accordance with the project by our experienced teams. Continuous site supervision and quality control prevent workmanship errors.

Testing, Reporting and Delivery

Concrete strength tests and quality controls are performed after strengthening. The entire process is reported in detail and delivered with a building safety certificate.

  • Can residents stay in the building during strengthening works?

In most strengthening applications, the building does not need to be evacuated. Especially during FRP wrapping, external shear wall additions, and foundation strengthening works, residents can usually remain in the building. However, temporary evacuation may be required for internal shear wall additions that involve extensive demolition. The works are carried out floor by floor; once one floor is completed and reopened for use, construction continues on another floor. Dust and noise control measures are implemented to ensure occupant comfort.

  • How can I tell if my building needs structural strengthening?

To determine whether your building requires strengthening, certain warning signs should be observed. Diagonal cracks on walls, rust stains on columns, and pieces falling off the concrete are serious indicators. In addition, buildings constructed before the year 2000 were generally built according to outdated earthquake regulations and may require strengthening. Through a professional structural analysis, the seismic performance of your building is evaluated and strengthening solutions are recommended if necessary.

  • What are the structural strengthening methods?

In reinforced concrete buildings, strengthening methods include the addition of reinforced concrete shear walls, jacketing of columns and beams, carbon fiber (FRP) wrapping, and steel profile reinforcement. For ground improvement, jet grouting or micropile applications can be used.

  • Why is structural strengthening necessary?

Structural strengthening is required to increase the building’s existing load-bearing capacity in accordance with earthquake effects and current usage conditions.
