  • How Is Waterproofing Applied and Why Is It Important?

Waterproofing is a fundamental engineering necessity that protects the structural health of your building. The application begins with reinforcing the floor and wall junction points with special waterproofing tapes. Then, a polyurethane-additive, two-component cement-based waterproofing mortar is applied to surfaces in two coats according to regulations. The importance of waterproofing is that it prevents corrosion (rusting) of reinforced concrete steel bars and thus weakening of the load-bearing system. Additionally, it fundamentally solves lower floor damage caused by water leakage and mold/fungus formation.

  • How Long Does Bathroom and Kitchen Renovation Take on Average and How Does the Project Process Work?

The duration of renovation varies from project to project depending on the scope of the project (only cosmetic or complete infrastructure renewal) and the procurement time of selected materials. Giving an exact number of days is misleading. However, we work with an engineering timeline. In this plan, demolition, plumbing/waterproofing, screed/drying and final assembly stages are determined in detail. The most time-consuming part of the process is the waterproofing and screed drying periods, which are mandatory for chemical reactions; we strictly adhere to these waiting periods in order not to compromise on quality.

  • Is It Necessary to Renew Existing Plumbing During Renovation?

Generally yes, it is necessary. We strongly recommend plumbing renewal especially in buildings over 15-20 years old. Old-type galvanized pipes rust and calcify internally, reducing water pressure and causing blockages. Old PVC pipes become brittle over time, carrying the risk of sudden rupture under tiles. Instead of leaving a risky infrastructure under your new coating, we prefer to offer a complete plumbing guarantee with long-lasting and healthy PEX or PP-R pipes.

  • What Basic Operations Are Performed Within the Scope of Bathroom Renovation?

Bathroom renovation is an infrastructure project that extends the life of the structure, beyond visual renewal. Our work first includes the demolition of old tiles and plumbing. Then, we proceed to the most critical stage: plumbing renewal; old pipes are removed and replaced with new-generation corrosion-resistant PEX or PP-R pipes. After ensuring the safety of the plumbing, cement-based waterproofing is applied to definitively prevent leakage. In the final stage, screed is poured according to the technical slope, porcelain tiles are laid, and modern sanitary ware/fixture installations are completed.
